About the 2024/2025 Fully Funded Charles B. Rangel International
The Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Program, supported by the U.S. Department of State and managed by Howard University, endeavors to recruit and train exceptional young individuals for careers as diplomats in the U.S. Foreign Service.
It aims to promote a positive U.S. presence globally by seeking candidates who are interested in shaping a more free, secure, and prosperous world through the formulation, representation, and implementation of U.S. foreign policy.

The Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Program specifically encourages applications from minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, women, and individuals with financial need.
Program Components:
Graduate Fellowship Program
— Supports two years of graduate study, internships, mentoring, and professional development.
— Encourages applications from minority groups, women, and those with financial need.

— Successful fellows will become Foreign Service Officers, making a global impact in various countries.
Application Deadline: September 19, 2024, at 11:59 PM ET.
Selection Process: Includes a virtual interview and written exercise for finalists scheduled between November 11-14, 2024. Awards will be announced on November 15, 2024.
Summer Enrichment Program:
A six-week summer program designed for undergraduate students to enhance their understanding of international affairs and career opportunities.
Covers tuition, travel, housing, and two meals per day, along with a $3,300 stipend.
Program Dates: June 16 – July 25, 2025.

Eligibility: Full-time undergraduate students with at least sophomore status and a minimum GPA of 3.2. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
Applications Open: October 2024.
