About the UNDP Digital Transformation Internship
Are you ready to apply your digital knowledge and skills to tackle some of humanity’s most pressing challenges? If so, consider joining the UNDP Digital Transformation Internship Program.
Digital technologies are powerful catalysts for global change, offering opportunities to accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals while also presenting developmental challenges.
Since 2019, UNDP has been undergoing a comprehensive digital transformation to harness these opportunities.

Our Digital Strategy 2022-2025 aims to empower people and the planet through digital innovation. It focuses on employing digital technologies in a rights-based approach to enhance development outcomes and foster inclusive digital ecosystems globally.
The internship offers flexibility in start dates based on needs and accepts applications on a rolling basis until September 30th, 2024.
Successful applicants may be notified anytime between April 1st and the end of 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities
We seek motivated interns to support our initiatives in the following areas. Please specify your top three areas of interest in your application using the Airtable form provided under the “Application Process”:
— Inclusive Digital Ecosystems
— Country Office Support & Capacity Building
— UNDP Digital Strategy Development & Implementation
— Support the communications team in planning and creating compelling content for communication channels such as social media, newsletters, blogs, and internal UNDP platforms.
— Business Operations (People Operations & Procurement):
— Research potential new partners, including technology companies, foundations, non-profits, alliances, etc., and assist in identifying new opportunities and areas for collaboration.

— Product Design, Build, and Management (including AI tools).

Required Skills And Experience
Education and Experience
Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:
— Enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), or
— Enrolled in the final academic year of an undergraduate program (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent), or

— Have graduated with a university degree (first university degree, second university degree or equivalent, or higher) and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
Interest or experience in one of the workstream areas is desirable.
