Introducing the ONGC Scholarship 2024

This esteemed program aims to provide financial assistance to outstanding students from SC/ST/OBC and General categories who are enrolled in their first year of Engineering, MBBS, MBA, or Masters programs in Geophysics/Geology.
The distribution of scholarships by academic stream is as follows:
— Engineering: 500 scholarships for SC/ST students, 300 for OBC students, and 300 for General category students.
— MBBS: 90 scholarships for SC/ST students, 50 for OBC students, and 50 for General category students.
— MBA:140 scholarships for SC/ST students, 50 for OBC students, and 50 for General category students.
Masters in Geology/Geophysics: 270 scholarships for SC/ST students, 100 for OBC students, and 100 for General category students.
Regional Distribution of Scholarships
Scholarships are distributed across various zones in India to ensure geographic diversity:
— North Zone: 200 scholarships for SC/ST students, 100 for OBC students, and 100 for General category students.
— West Zone: 200 scholarships for SC/ST students, 100 for OBC students, and 100 for General category students.

— North Zone: Chandigarh, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand.
West Zone: Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu.
— North-East Zone: Assam, Mizoram, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya, and Nagaland.
— East Zone: Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand.
— South Zone: Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep.
Benefits of the ONGC Scholarship 2024–25
Each scholarship provides a generous financial aid of ₹48,000 per annum, equivalent to ₹4,000 per month for each scholar.
Additionally, recipients will receive a book grant of ₹6,000 per year. Furthermore, the scholarship offers valuable internship opportunities at ONGC facilities.
Eligibility Criteria:
— Must be an Indian citizen.
— Must be enrolled in the first year of an MBBS program or undergraduate engineering course from a recognized university/institute.
— Must be enrolled in the first year of an MBA or Master’s degree program in Geology and Geophysics from a recognized university/institute.
— Must have achieved a minimum of 60% marks in Class 12th (or equivalent) examination OR 60% marks in graduation for Master’s and MBA scholarships OR a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10.0 grading scale.

— The gross annual family income from all sources should be less than ₹2.0 lakh (200,000 rupees) per annum for the OBC category.
The gross annual family income from all sources should be less than ₹4.5 lakh (450,000 rupees) per annum for the SC/ST category.
The maximum age limit is 30 years.

Selection Criteria
The ONGC scholarship 2024 program is awarded solely based on merit. The performance of students in their Class 12 (or equivalent) exams determines their eligibility for consideration.
Preference is given to students with outstanding academic records.
Following the administration of an entrance exam, final decisions are made. Students who demonstrate strong academic achievement are prioritized.
