Introducing the 2024 UN FAO World Food Day Poster Contest for Global Teens
Applications are currently open for the 2024 United Nations (UN) FAO World Food Day Poster Contest.
Enter the contest and showcase your creativity! Create a poster that represents your favorite dish or recipe, emphasizing the importance of diverse, nutritious, safe, and affordable foods.Illustrate what this means to you, your community, or the world through art.
Take a photo or scan of your poster and submit it by completing the form on our website. Our jury will select three winners in each age category, and winners will be announced in December.

They will be promoted by FAO offices worldwide and receive a certificate and a surprise gift bag.
Requirements:
The contest is open to children and youth aged 5 to 19, residing anywhere globally.
Participants must declare their age at the time of entry. Minors need parental or guardian consent to participate.
Submission Requirements:
Participation is free.
The entry period starts at 12:00 (CEST) on June 3, 2024, and ends at 12:00 (CEST) on November 8, 2024.
The contest has categories: 5 to 8, 9 to 12, 13 to 15, and 16 to 19.
Each person may submit only one entry; multiple entries will lead to disqualification.
Posters can be drawn, painted, or sketched using various materials such as pens, pencils, crayons, charcoal, oil, acrylic, watercolor, or mixed media. Digital artwork is also allowed, but no photographs.

Text on posters, if any, must not exceed 25 words or 100 characters. Personal information like names, schools, or ages should not be included.
All artwork must be original and should not feature logos, photographs of the contestant, or personal information.
All participants are encouraged to explore the World Food Day theme in the World Food Day Activity Book. Younger children may want to study it with a parent or teacher.
Posters must be submitted exclusively through the provided entry form. Every field in the Contest entry form must be filled out, and after uploading the poster design, participants must click the ENTER button. Younger children may require assistance from an adult to submit their entry online.
Only digital files saved as JPEG will be accepted, and submissions must be made through the online form—please refrain from sending physical posters.
Prizes:
Fifteen posters in each category (60 posters total) will be shortlisted by the screening committee and notified in December 2023. Shortlisted candidates will receive a certificate for their achievement.
A jury will select three winning poster designs in each category as finalists.
The top three poster designs in all categories will be announced on the World Food Day website.
Winners will be promoted on FAO social media and by FAO offices globally.

Winners will also receive a Certificate of Recognition and a surprise gift bag.
If any selected winner(s) are found ineligible under the Contest rules or refuse the prize, FAO reserves the right to decide whether to award the prize to another eligible entry.
Winning posters will be published with only the first initial, full family name, and country of origin. No other personal information about the contestants will be published or shared.
