Established in 1806, the University of Palermo (UniPa) is one of Italy’s oldest public research universities, located in Palermo.
With a student body exceeding 50,000, UniPa offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs, totaling 122 first and second-cycle courses, 44 master’s and specialization courses, and 23 PhD programs, catering to a diverse international audience.

This call for applications pertains specifically to prospective students requiring a visa to study in Italy.
Notably, UniPa offers among the lowest tuition fees, ranging from 206 Euros to 256 Euros. The university also provides various scholarship opportunities, such as the ERSU and Italian Government scholarships.

Pre-enrollment necessitates a letter of acceptance from UniPa and is typically required by the Italian Embassy or Consulate during visa processing.
It is important to note that pre-enrollment does not guarantee admission to the chosen program; separate admission procedures established by UniPa must also be completed.
Available Scholarships:
— ERSU Scholarship: Regional scholarship covering tuition waivers, meals, accommodations, and some living expenses.
— Italian Government Scholarships: Grants available to foreign and Italian citizens.
Tuition Fees for Non-EU Students:
Tuition fees for students from non-EU countries residing abroad are categorized into three lists:
— List A: Fixed fee of €206 (includes a €156 regional study permit tax).
— List B: Fixed fee of €256 (includes a €156 regional tax for the privilege of studying).
— Other students not included in lists A or B: Fixed fee of €356 (includes a €156 regional tax for the right to study).

How to Apply:
- Register on the Unipa Student Portal to initiate the enrollment application process.
- Navigate to “Applications” > “New Application” > “Calls and Enrolment Application” > “Enrolment Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree Application.”
- After completing the above step, proceed to register on the Universitaly Portal and complete your enrollment.
- Note that the deadline for Master’s Degree Courses is July 30, 2024, and for Bachelor’s Courses is August 9, 2024.
