Introducing the AIIDEV Africa Teach4SDGs Programme
Applications are now open for eligible Africans to join the AIIDEV Africa Teach4SDGs Program – Cohort 5.
The Teach4SDGs Program is designed to promote sustainable development and educate future generations about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This 12-week intensive training features more than ten advanced workshops, lectures, extensive readings, assessments, and practical projects aimed at enhancing the knowledge and skills of school educators in the area of SDGs.

The curriculum covers all 17 SDGs and their targets, as well as key topics such as Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), Climate Change, Environmental Sustainability, Green Economy, Circular Economy, Sustainable Waste Management, Project Management, and Technology and Innovation for Educators.
The Teach4SDGs program is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the SDGs, equipping educators with the tools and resources needed to teach future generations about the importance of sustainable development.

Participants will develop a deeper comprehension of the significance of the SDGs and their targets, as well as the crucial role education plays in achieving sustainable development.

AIIDEV Africa Teach4SDGs Program Eligibility
Here are the eligibility requirements for Cohort 5 of the AIIDEV Africa Teach4SDGs Program:
— Open to all primary and secondary school teachers in both public and private schools across Sub-Saharan African countries.
— Ability to commit at least 4 hours on 2 days per week throughout the training program. All sessions will be conducted in English.
— Applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 45.
— Must be available for virtual training and able to conduct SDGs activities at your school.
— Interested in becoming a development and transformation agent who promotes student learning about the SDGs.
— No prior knowledge of the SDGs 2030 is required.

Complete and submit the AIIDEV Africa Teach4SDGs Program application form by the deadline: August 25, 2024 (10:00 PM WAT).
