About York University Presidential Scholarship 2025
The York University Presidential Scholarship is awarded to international undergraduate applicants who wish to study at this Canadian institution.

The President’s International Scholarship of Excellence is specifically for international high school students entering their first year of a four-year undergraduate degree program at York University.

Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence, a commitment to volunteer work and extracurricular activities, and leadership skills.
Recipients will come from diverse regions around the world and will be known as “President’s International Scholars.”
The York University Presidential International Scholarship is valued at $180,000, distributed over four years of undergraduate study, and is renewable if the student maintains good academic standing each year.

Eligibility Requirements
— Must be an international student who needs a Study Permit to study in Canada.
— Must have applied to an undergraduate degree program at York University starting in Fall 2025.
— Must have applied to York directly from high school within two years of graduation, with no prior university or college studies (not applicable to the Tentanda Via Award).

— Must have an excellent academic record, with a minimum “A” average or equivalent (where applicable).
— Must demonstrate leadership through community service, or excellence in the arts, sports, or other areas of individual achievement (where applicable).
— Must upload one letter of recommendation or other supporting documents as required.
— Must ensure all required documents are marked as “Received” in the York application portal (MyFile) by February 15, 2025, at 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time.
— Must complete and submit the online International Student Scholarship Application by February 15, 2025, at 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time.
— A minimum final admission average of 80% (A) is required for consideration.
— Financial need may also be considered in the selection process.
Benefits of the York University Presidential Scholarship 2025
Each year, twenty (20) York University Presidential Scholarships are awarded, valued at $45,000 per year.
The scholarship is renewable for an additional three years of full-time undergraduate study, provided the student maintains good academic standing, totaling $180,000 over four years.
Required Documents
The application must include a personal statement (no more than 3,000 characters), a financial profile, a list of activities and volunteer experiences, and one letter of reference.
