About the 2024 D-Prize Awards for Social Entrepreneurs
The D-Prize Awards for Social Entrepreneurs provide startup grants of up to $20,000 to individuals launching new organizations.
We believe the world needs more social impact organizations, so we support for-profit ventures, NGOs, and charities.

Eligibility Requirements
— D-Prize is intended for new organizations. Most of our awardees are first-time entrepreneurs.
— Most applicants have not yet launched their organizations or secured other funding.
— We especially encourage applications from individuals in low- and middle-income countries.
— We will consider applications from existing organizations only if your core focus is distributing an existing and evidence-based poverty intervention.
— We typically do not support organizations that have been operating full-time for more than 18 months or that have raised more than $30,000 USD in outside funding.

Selection Process
Evaluation Process:
— Round 1: Submit a two-page concept note and resume(s). We receive over 2,500 submissions per competition.
— Round 2: The top 5% of entrepreneurs will be invited to answer short written questions. You will have two weeks to draft and submit your responses.
— Final Round: Top entrepreneurs will have phone and email interviews. The top 1% will receive up to $20,000 to launch their ventures.

— Extension Deadline: November 24, 2024, at midnight PT (Pacific Time)
How to Apply
Submission Policies:
— Proposals must be written in English, but perfect grammar and vocabulary are not required. We only need to understand your idea.
— Proposals must follow the instructions in this packet.
— Extra material outside of the proposal will not be considered.
— Revisions to proposals after submission will not be accepted.
— Only one proposal per person or partnership will be considered.
Proposal Instructions
- Prepare your concept note and resume(s), and clearly name your files. Concept notes and resumes can be separate documents. Files must be in PDF format and limited to a size of 4MB each.
- Proposals must be written in English. While perfect grammar and vocabulary are not required, we need to understand your idea.
- Input your contact details and upload your documents at www.d-prize.org/submit.
- Our seed support is designed to help launch your organization and grow it to a larger scale.
- Follow our Application Process to design an initial test pilot of your broader vision.
- Submit your concept to our twice-annual competition.
- If selected, you will receive seed support to launch your venture.
