Introducing the Canon Collins RMTF Postgraduate Scholarships
Applications are now open for the 2024 Canon Collins RMTF Scholarships, which support postgraduate studies in South Africa.
These scholarships are funded by a partnership between the Canon Collins Trust and the Ros Moger and Terry Furlong groups, established in memory of Ros and Terry, esteemed educators from London.

Since 2001, their friends and family have raised funds to award these scholarships.
The Canon Collins Trust and RMTF aim to support outstanding individuals committed to promoting social justice in southern Africa.
A postgraduate qualification is seen as essential for their efforts to create a fair and equitable society.
Available Fields
Students in the following areas are eligible:
— Justice (including Climate Justice, Law, Economics, and Politics)
— Education Policy and Practice
— Humanities (including Literature, History, Anthropology, and the Arts)
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
— Be a national or have refugee status in Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, Zambia, or Angola.
— Be a regular resident of one of the above countries.

— Hold a strong first degree (at least a second class, upper division, or equivalent), or be set to graduate within the application year.
— Be attending or applying to a South African university.

Benefits of the Canon Collins RMTF Scholarships 2024
The Canon Collins RMTF Scholarships 2024 provide valuable support for students pursuing a Masters or PhD.
These scholarships can cover study periods of up to two years for Masters and three years for PhD programs, offering financial support ranging from R20,000 to R100,000.

The funding is flexible and accommodates full-time, part-time, and distance-learning students.
In addition to financial assistance, scholarship recipients are expected to participate in an annual conference and various smaller events throughout the year.
This engagement allows them to connect with a network dedicated to advancing social justice.

Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation acknowledging receipt of your application.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews scheduled for October and November 2024.
Final decisions will be communicated to all applicants by December 2024.
