Typically, the grant is awarded to organizations researching ways to enhance indoor environments for human health.

Nonprofits developing solutions to improve indoor quality are also eligible to apply.
Grant amounts can range from thousands to tens of thousands of dollars, depending on the size and scope of the project or program.

The maximum annual grant amount is 30,000 euros.
Funding has also been provided for the Himalayan Stove project, which helps children with asthma, as well as for university research on indoor environmental quality, among other areas.

The Halton Foundation grants are available to non-profit organizations focused on researching ways to improve human well-being in indoor environments.

The foundation also supports organizations working on solutions to enhance indoor environmental quality.
Note that the Halton Foundation has a strict policy on overhead and administrative expenses:
successful applicants must allocate no more than 10% of the project costs to these expenses. This requirement is non-negotiable for all grant recipients.

Grant amounts will vary based on the scope and nature of the project or program, generally ranging from several thousand dollars to tens of thousands of dollars. However, the maximum grant amount will not exceed €30,000 per year.
