Applications are now open for the 2024 Ban-Ki-Moon Elevating The Voices Of Women In Agriculture Changemakers.
That EVWA Changemakers is an annual campaign that recognizes and provides a platform to exceptional Africans under the age of 30 who lead projects contributing to the empowerment of women farmers.
Through a nomination process, inspiring young leaders in the field of women farmers’ empowerment will be selected as EVWA Changemakers and featured on the EVWA webpage.

The Elevating the Voices of Women in Agriculture (EVWA) Campaign aims to raise awareness of the realities faced by women farmers in Africa.
Through the EVWA Changemakers Campaign and the EVWA Council, the BKMC is committed to highlighting and mobilizing action for the empowerment of women farmers in Africa.
Women constitute nearly half of the world’s smallholder farmers. In Africa, they produce 70% of the continent’s food.

However, they are the most vulnerable members of the farming community, encountering challenges in accessing land, financing, education, and more due to gender inequalities and the changing climate.
