About the Berea College Scholarships 2024 for International Students
The Berea College Undergraduate Scholarship applications are now open for international students for the year 2024.
Berea College offers a unique opportunity where no student pays tuition; all admitted students receive the No-Tuition Promise, covering 100% of tuition costs.
Berea College is distinguished as the only institution in the United States providing full funding to all enrolled international students for their first year.

This financial support includes tuition, room, board, and fees.
To qualify for the Berea College Undergraduate Scholarship, applicants must demonstrate strong academic potential and financial need.
Most successful applicants typically score between 20 and 30 on the ACT (or SAT equivalent) and maintain a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 in a rigorous college preparatory curriculum.
Applicants may choose to submit either ACT or SAT scores. Additionally, factors such as community service, leadership qualities, and motivation levels are considered in the selection process, which is merit-based.

Applicants must also meet Berea College’s minimum English language proficiency requirements and provide evidence thereof as part of their application.

All of the following items are included in the packet above and must be mailed together to the Office of Admissions:
- International Application for Admission and Scholarship form.
- International Personal Essay and Essay Cover Sheet.
- Copy of official secondary school records. DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS.
- Personal Statement of Financial Circumstances.

- International Financial Questionnaire (IFQ).
- International Financial Recommendation Form.
- Two (2) Admission Recommendation forms, with at least one from a current or former teacher.
- Copy of official scores from at least one of the following exams: TOEFL, IELTS, ACT, or SAT. Please register and take the test early to include your scores in your packet and meet the deadline.
