About the British Academy Visiting Fellowship 2025
The British Academy Visiting Fellowship 2025 Program is currently accepting applications. This initiative invites academics from any country to spend up to six months at a UK higher education or research institution, collaborating on projects with UK colleagues.
Funded by the Department for Science, Innovation, and Technology, the Visiting Fellowships program aims to promote international collaboration in the humanities and social sciences.

Eligibility Requirements for the British Academy Visiting Fellowship 2025
Academic Level: Applicants must hold a postdoctoral degree or possess equivalent research experience.

Location: Candidates must reside outside the UK at the time of application.
Contracts: Applicants on fixed-term contracts must ensure their contract extends beyond the fellowship’s conclusion. Independent scholars are also eligible.
Host Institution: Applicants must have already established contact with a UK host institution before applying. The British Academy does not facilitate this contact.

Diversity and Inclusion: Applications are particularly encouraged from historically and/or structurally disadvantaged groups, low-income countries, and female researchers.
Value and Duration
Duration: Fellowships range from three to six months.
Funding: Each fellowship provides up to £40,000.
