Introducing the Dyslexia Advocate Fellowship Program
Applications are now open for the 2025 Dyslexia Advocate Fellowship Program. This initiative seeks enthusiastic individuals dedicated to improving the lives of dyslexics in Africa.
The goal for this second cohort is to build a team of advocates who will enhance awareness and support for dyslexics across Africa by selecting two committed individuals from each of the 54 African nations.

Advocates will work to raise awareness in their communities, support inclusive education, and advocate for accommodations for those with dyslexia.
Program details are as follows
— Training: A comprehensive two-month module designed to equip fellows with essential advocacy skills.
— Fellowship Duration: Two years after completing the training and meeting all requirements, fellows will graduate as Dyslexia Advocates and embark on a two-year impact journey with the Africa Dyslexia Organisation, managing at least two projects annually in their communities.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
— Be committed to the mission of the Dyslexia Advocate Fellowship Program.
— Be between the ages of 18 and 55.

— Have a minimum of post-secondary education and relevant qualifications.
— Be available to commit at least two years to the program.
— Have at least one year of verified volunteer experience and one year of work experience.
An ideal candidate:
— Is dedicated to the mission and vision of the Africa Dyslexia Organisation.
— Is flexible, independent, and possesses a strong work ethic and sense of humor.
— Is self-motivated with a genuine interest in volunteer work.
— Has the ability to learn quickly on the job.
— Values and respects diverse languages, cultures, religions, and social norms.
— Possesses strong social networking skills.
