About the FATE Foundation Road to Growth Program
FATE Foundation, in collaboration with the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, is excited to announce the Road to Growth Program 2024 for female entrepreneurs in Ogun State.
This initiative is designed to enhance business skills, financial literacy, and overall confidence for women leading businesses in this region.

The program is funded by the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and other partners and is aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs in low and middle-income countries by equipping them with essential tools for business growth.
Program Overview
The Road to Growth Program will support 40 women entrepreneurs in Ogun State, Nigeria, helping them overcome obstacles and achieve success in their ventures.
The program offers a range of benefits, including financial literacy training, enterprise development, and access to valuable networks.
This partial scholarship covers direct course fees, including materials, books, and data support, while also providing ongoing support after the program concludes.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Road to Growth Program, applicants must:
- Own at least 50% of their business.
- Operate a business that has been profitable for at least two years.
- Employ between 3 and 49 people.
- Be able to read and write.
- Have basic computer literacy.
- Be proficient in English.
- Have not previously accessed loans and need additional investment.

Selection Process
The Road to Growth Program is a 7-week hybrid course consisting of 8-10 hours per week, including sessions on the Learning Management System (LMS), virtual classes, WhatsApp group discussions, and in-person meetings.
The curriculum is designed to be flexible, allowing participants to manage their business while engaging in the program. Key modules include:
— Connections: Introduction to the Road to Growth Program.
— Context: Understanding your market.
— Communication: Leveraging digital marketing.
— Capacity: Analyzing your business.
— Capital: Insights into financing options.
— Character: Building financial relationships.
— Confidence: Preparing for financing applications.
As the program progresses, participants will develop growth plans and make immediate improvements to their businesses.
How to Apply
- Stage I: Submit your application via the Apply Button on the Application Platform (SOAR).
- Stage II: After reviewing applications, shortlisted candidates will be invited for a 10-minute phone or video interview. From these interviews, 40 participants will be selected for the Ogun cohort.
