About the University at Buffalo Scholarship
The University at Buffalo is offering scholarships for Ph.D. and M.S. opportunities in Computational Hydrology at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
The newly established Actionable Computational Terrestrial Hydrology Lab (a.c.t. hydro lab), led by Dr. Yifan Cheng in the Department of Geology, is pleased to invite applications from motivated students pursuing Ph.D. or M.S. degrees in Geological Sciences with a focus on computational hydrology.

The a.c.t. hydro lab develops innovative numerical modeling methods to assess the resilience of water-related sectors under climate change, with a particular emphasis on cold regions.
The lab collaborates with social scientists and experts from sectors such as power, ecosystems, and local communities to improve the relevance, clarity, and usability of its data and model products.
International candidates are encouraged to apply for University at Buffalo Scholarships for a chance to pursue graduate degrees at the State University of New York.
These scholarships cover tuition, living expenses, and health insurance for both master’s and Ph.D. programs.
