About the Google DeepMind Scholarship 2024 at the University of Birmingham
The School of Computer Science at the University of Birmingham is currently accepting applications for the Google DeepMind Scholarship.
This esteemed opportunity targets students with a strong passion for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning.
Generously funded by DeepMind, the scholarship offers two positions for individuals holding either a conditional or unconditional offer for the MSc Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning program at the University’s Edgbaston campus.

These scholarships aim to support talented students in pursuing their ambitions in these cutting-edge and highly sought-after fields in both industry and research.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the scholarship, applicants must:
— Identify as female.
— Be prepared to demonstrate financial need to accept the admissions offer, if required.
— Additionally, applicants must:
— Have received an offer for the University of Birmingham’s MSc Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning program, either conditionally or unconditionally.
— Be classified as an international student for fee-paying purposes or a resident of the UK for the majority of the time.
Applications will undergo a review process by a selection panel at the School of Computer Science, where they will be evaluated based on the outlined eligibility criteria.
Additional supporting documentation and evidence may be required.

The DeepMind scholarship offer may be considered conditional until all academic offer conditions, such as satisfactory academic results and other requirements, are met.

Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on the specified eligibility criteria.
Shortlisted candidates will be requested to provide any additional necessary documentation and evidence after their review by a selection panel at the School of Computer Science.
Benefits of the University of Birmingham Google DeepMind Scholarships 2024
The UK scholarship, valued at £34,225, includes:
— UK tuition fees coverage of £11,340
— A maintenance grant of £18,985, disbursed in installments for living expenses
— Up to £2,200 for attending an international conference in AI and/or Machine Learning
— £1,700 for essential equipment such as a suitable laptop
The International scholarship, valued at £56,525, includes:
— International tuition fees coverage of £31,410
— A maintenance grant of £19,345, disbursed in installments for living expenses

How to Apply
The application process is open to both international and UK applicants who hold an offer for the program.
Once an offer is received, applicants will receive an email with a direct link to apply for the DeepMind scholarship. The final application deadline is August 18, 2024.
