About the Google STEP Internship

The Student Training in Engineering Program (STEP Internship) aims to do just that. This 12-week program allows students to work on a software project with another STEP intern, supported by full-time Google employees and a mentor.
Participants will also attend training sessions to enhance their technical and professional skills.

Responsibilities
— Apply knowledge from computer science courses to real-world challenges.
— Complete a challenging technical project with a team of Googlers and other STEP interns.
— Improve your coding skills by using new tools and programming languages.
— Attend training sessions to develop your professional skills and prepare for success.
— Be paired with a Google engineer who will mentor you throughout the internship.
Eligibility for the Google STEP Internship
To qualify for the Google STEP Internship, students must meet the following criteria:
— Currently enrolled in the first or second year of a Bachelor’s degree or a combined Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field in the EMEA region.

— Available for a full-time, 12-week internship from June 30 to September 26, 2025.
— Programming experience in Java, C++, or Python.
Preferred Qualifications
— Must be returning to a full-time Bachelor’s program for at least two years after completing the internship.
— Experience in programming outside of university coursework will enhance your chances for the Google STEP Internship.
— Interest and ability to learn additional coding languages as needed.
Application Process for the Google STEP Internship
To participate in the Google Student Training in Engineering Program (STEP Internship), you must be located in one of the specified countries for this role during the internship and have the legal right to work there.
Interns are expected to work full-time for 12 weeks over Summer 2025 (starting in July).
To begin the application process, you will need an updated CV or resume and a current unofficial or official transcript in English.
