Requirements for the Mitaces Globalink Research Internship
Applicants must:
— Be at least 18 years old at the time of application
— Be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or combined undergraduate/master’s program at an eligible institution (refer to the list of eligible institutions by country)
— Have one to three semesters remaining in their program as of fall 2025 (requirements may vary by country)
— Meet the GPA requirements for their country of study (refer to the GPA requirements for each international partner).
— Apply to at least three and no more than ten projects, ensuring that selections include projects from at least three different Canadian provinces.
— Be fluent in the language required for the project (English and/or French).
— Be available for a 12-week internship between May 1 and October 31. The internship must start between May 1 and July 31; internships outside these dates are not permitted.
— Not have previously been awarded a Globalink Research Internship.
— Applicants currently affiliated with, or receiving funding or support from, any institution on the list of NROs are ineligible if the research aims to advance a Sensitive Technology Research Area (STRA).

Mitacs will screen a sample of applications, selected at its sole discretion, to verify the accuracy of the information provided.
