The Ibrahim Leadership Fellowship is a flagship program of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, aimed at equipping talented individuals with both technical and leadership skills.

Previous Fellows have hailed from diverse backgrounds, including economics, trade, development, peace studies, and conflict resolution.

Selected Fellows will be placed at one of three prestigious institutions: the African Development Bank (AfDB), the International Trade Centre (ITC), or the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).
Each institution will host one Fellow, allowing them to engage directly with senior management teams and contribute to critical projects that impact Africa’s development.
Furthermore, Fellows will receive personalized mentorship from influential leaders across various fields, providing insights that will help shape their personal and professional growth.

This program is specifically aimed at mid-career African professionals who hold a master’s degree and possess 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Mo Ibrahim Foundation Leadership Fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
— Must be a national of an African country.
— Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience.
— A master’s degree is required.
— Applicants should be under the age of 40, or up to 45 for women with children.
