About the NewNow Emerging Leaders Program
The NewNow program, supported by Virgin Unite, is a flagship initiative of One Young World that empowers emerging young leaders to reshape how global leadership drives change.
This program is dedicated to those who dare to challenge the status quo, equipping them with the tools and networks necessary to effect real and lasting impact in their communities and beyond.
NewNow is a collective of rising leaders with proven track records in driving meaningful change.

These individuals are committed to fostering momentum toward a fair and sustainable future. By addressing major global challenges through a systems-thinking lens, the program aims for deep and long-term transformation rather than temporary fixes.
We believe that effective leadership requires collaboration and an understanding of the interconnected nature of the issues we face today.
For the 2024 cohort, we are seeking ten trailblazing leaders from the Global South who possess a strong commitment to creating systemic change.
These candidates should demonstrate their understanding of complex challenges and showcase their ability to implement innovative solutions that yield sustainable outcomes.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the NewNow Emerging Leaders Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
— Be aged between 18 and 30.
— Be a national of a country in the Global South.
— Demonstrate successful leadership through impactful initiatives.
— Exhibit a strong understanding of key local and global issues that require systems-thinking approaches.
— Provide evidence of implementing systems-thinking principles to create innovative, long-term solutions.
— Show a commitment to collaborating with fellow NewNow leaders and promoting effective examples of systems change through their networks.
