Introducing the Sasol Graduate Development Programme 2025
Applications are now open for the 2025 Sasol Graduate Development Programme.
This initiative provides a structured and comprehensive development experience for graduates in engineering and science disciplines, focusing on orientation, training, and business process exposure.

The Sasol Graduate Development Programme is a highly regarded 36-month program, recognized as one of the best in South Africa.
Key features of the program include:
- Comprehensive Experience: Graduates will gain exposure to various business areas through mandatory rotations, including at least one in operations.
- Standardized Development: The program is formally structured and tailored to each discipline, ensuring consistency and high standards across the board.
- Competency-Based: Regular assessments are conducted to measure and support the development of competencies in graduates.
- Practice-Oriented: Emphasizing hands-on learning, the program dedicates a minimum of 70% of the time to practical experience, 20% to mentoring and coaching, and 10% to formal classroom training.
- Business Alignment: The program integrates deeply with the organization, with content and on-the-job training driven by line managers.
Minimum Requirements
— Final-year B.Sc. or B.Eng. students, as well as recent graduates, may apply.
— Candidates should have limited or no professional experience.
— Exceptional academic performance is required.
— Only South African citizens are eligible.
— Applicants must have no criminal record.
— Preference will be given to candidates from fence-line communities and Sasol Foundation bursars.
Programme Details
— A mandatory three-year duration for comprehensive development.
— Bi-annual progress reviews.
— Rotations across Sasol to ensure a broad experience.
