The UNCDF Internship Opportunity 2024 is for qualified interns who can support various activities in the following functional areas at its Regional Office and implementing countries located in Thailand, Nepal, Bangladesh, Fiji, and other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Duties and Responsibilities of the UNCDF Internship
The key activities expected of interns in Asia and the Pacific are:
Private Sector Engagement
Support the team in complying with the recently introduced provisions for partnering with the private sector and various Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Data Management
Work with the team on analyzing and organizing the available data, and collect missing data from partners to ensure project results are properly gathered and systematically stored.
Partnership and Program Expansion
Candidates for the UNCDF Internship Opportunity 2024 will review various intervention plans and leads, including engaging in background research and stakeholder discussions, to develop these interventions into specific concepts or proposals for implementation in target countries.
Monitoring & Evaluation and Operations
Update the Results Management Frameworks for various countries and the region on a quarterly basis.
Track the updates of project risk logs and other entries in the PPM module in Quantum. If access is not available, track these aspects offline using Excel files.
Communications and Knowledge Management
Pitch, write, proofread, and edit thought leadership pieces, human-impact stories, and other articles.

Support the team in preparing talking points and other materials (such as PowerPoints, banners, flyers, etc.) for events, workshops, webinars, and more.
Develop visual assets for social media, web, and print, and support the preparation and dissemination of reports and other communication materials.
Required Skills and Experience for the UNCDF Internship Opportunity 2024
The requirements for the UNCDF Internship Opportunity 2024 are:
Education:
Applicants to the UNCDF internship program must meet one of the following requirements at the time of application:
– Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree program (such as a master’s program or higher) in food system management, economics, agro-economics, banking, investments, or similar studies. The internship must start within one year of graduation.
– Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (such as a bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
– Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program and undertake the internship as part of this program.
Experience:
Part-time or full-time work, paid or volunteer, in economics, policy-related work, finance, inclusive finance, communications, knowledge management, international development, sustainable development, or related fields (for all internships).
Excellent proficiency with computers, mobile apps, and digital tools (for all internships). Familiarity with social media platforms and graphic design and photo editing software applications such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (for Communications and Knowledge Management roles).
Proficiency or prior experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and/or Keynote (for Communications and Knowledge Management roles).
Languages:
– Fluency in English is required.
– For the country office, fluency in the local language is preferred.
– Knowledge of other UN languages is considered a plus.
General Internship Terms & Conditions:
The UNCDF Internship Program is governed by the UNDP Internship Policy Framework and Rules.

Under the revised UNDP Internship Policy, UNCDF will provide a modest monthly stipend to its interns, in accordance with the provisions of the UNDP Internship Policy. All expenses related to the internship will be borne by the intern or their sponsoring entity/institution. Stipends are available only for full-time and part-time internships at this time.
