Introducing the UNV/UNEP Young Talent Pipeline 2024
Applications are now open for the 2024 UNV/UNEP Young Talent Pipeline Program.
The second phase of this joint initiative by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) starts on June 25, 2024.

Building on the inaugural phase in 2023, the program aims to cultivate young leaders in environment, pollution, and climate action.
This partnership initiative between UNEP and UNV has two main goals:
- Deploying a second cohort of 12 young talented individuals in areas aligned with UNEP’s mandate.
- Recruiting candidates from Latin America and the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.
Requirements:
— Applicants must be 33 years old or younger, with a focus on encouraging women and individuals from marginalized groups.
— Candidates should hold relevant academic degrees and possess three years of professional experience.

— We particularly welcome dynamic thinkers with a passion for environmental solutions addressing climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss.
Program Details:
— Selected candidates will be stationed at UNEP’s headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.
— Assignments are scheduled to commence in November 2024 for a duration of 12 months, with potential for extension.
