Job Objective(s)
The Media Relations Officer will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the bank’s public image through effective media engagement.
This role involves disseminating press releases, monitoring media coverage, managing crises, and building strong relationships with media outlets.
The Media Relations Officer will also be responsible for advertising efforts and submitting entries for awards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Media Enquiries: Serve as the primary contact for media inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses to all media-related questions and requests.
- Media Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with key media personnel to foster a positive image of the bank and secure favorable media coverage.
- Media Engagements: Organize and participate in media events, press conferences, and interviews to promote the bank’s initiatives and maintain visibility in the public eye.
- Crisis Management: Address and manage media-related crises swiftly and effectively to minimize any potential negative impact on the bank’s reputation.
- Briefing: Inform other Brand and Communications units about key initiatives and developments from various business segments. Collaborate with these units to ensure alignment with the bank’s overall objectives.
- Advertising: Coordinate with the advertising team to strategize and implement effective promotional campaigns that enhance the bank’s brand image.
- Award Submissions: Prepare and submit entries for awards to highlight the bank’s achievements and bolster its reputation within the industry.
